World Trivia Night 2016

November 18th marked the 22nd annual World Trivia Night in support of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Ottawa (CAFO), in which $50,000 was raised for local children ,youth and families. This year’s event featured 132 determined trivia teams competing for $10,000 in prizes.

From first-timers to seasoned trivia buffs, teams from across Ottawa put on their thinking caps and attempted to top the rankings at North America’s largest live trivia event.

It was a close one: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were all determined by tie-breaker rounds!

First place was awarded to I Lost on Jeopardy, who narrowly defeated Shocked & Appalled in the extra round, while third place was awarded to Fran Mahovlich. For a complete list of team standings, click here.

Money raised at World Trivia Night helps children, youth and families supported by The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa (CASO). These funds open doors for children and youth, both in and out of CASO’s care, so they can pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.

CAFO would like to thank everyone who participated in World Trivia Night, sponsored a team and have made a donation.

Scotiabank presents Walter Noble, Executive Director of the Children's Aid Foundation of Ottawa, with a cheque of $50,685.

Congratulations to this year's World Trivia Night champions, I Lost on Jeopardy!
