Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers enhance our services by building support networks for the children, youth and families in our community. From volunteer driver to tutors and mentors, we are looking for volunteers to join our team.

Drive program

Volunteer drivers transport children and youth to and from The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa’s programs and other appointments. Volunteer drivers ensure the well-being of children and youth, and provide them with a safe and caring environment while in their care.

Volunteer drivers are needed on Mondays-Fridays between 7-9 a.m. and 2-7 p.m.

Tutors/Mentors

Volunteer tutors provide academic support and encouragement to children and youth on a variety of subjects including Math, Sciences, English and French. Volunteers meet with children and youth in their home, at school, at a community center, or virtually and are supervised by the child’s social worker and supported by a Program Facilitator.

Volunteer mentors work on the identified needs of the child or youth which include social skills and personal development. They meet with the child or youth in their home, at their school or at a pre-determined setting.
